Baraka Vs Avatar.

There was this scene of Baraka where the title showed up on the screen at the beginning of the film. Somehow the film title of Avatar appeared on my mind. I thought that the font used for both film titles were quite the same.

Okay it's not the same -.-

But other than that, I also realized that both films have three A's in their title, and they sound the same with the A pronounciation; Ba-ra-ka, A-va-tar. There was this scene where they were strongly related, which also gave everyone a deep impression - The Ramayana Monkey Chant in Bali.

The Monkey Chant is believe to ward off evil, and this scene absolutely reminds me of Avatar, where all the Na'vi tribe gathered and prayed around the sacred tree.

Tree of Souls.

Actually both of the films are about the beauty of mother nature and the culture or religion. One in a realistic way and another in a technological way. We can see the destruction of nature by human for the sake of profits in both films.

So I saw this interesting comment by chance from a YouTube user, commenting on the "Baraka - Kecak" video.

"...Do you know the kecak shows story of Ramayana, fight in between prince Rama and demon ravana? And now - write into your google "Rama" and check what is the skin colour of Rama? Outch.....so, what was the Avatar about? ;););) - Duge108"

Okay.. It's blue. Just like the avatars. Now that's something I didn't know! And after some searching on Google I found out that the film is actually parallel with Hinduism. The director, James Cameron himself also mentioned in an interview by Times Magazine that he was inspired by the Hindu God.  - http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1576622,00.html

Lastly, here's the theme song for Avatar! Love it  Enjoy! :D

I see you.
